Well, it seems like all the kids 'round here are wrapped up with leaving this place.

Reunion More (3)
This semester I've been in a Writing (Fiction) class, and it's been something else. I love my class, the people in it love writing and they're for the most part fairly good at it. There's really no one in the class that doesn't get along with each other. There's crazy ones, for sure, but even their writing really isn't that bad. It's just crazy.

I wrote a 16-page story ( http://www.mediafire.com/?jajnczwijgg  If you're interested. And it took a lot for me to post that without going through and editing it so hard), and thankfully it was reviewed well. My dialogue has improved miles and miles and miles beyond what it was before Spectrum. Most of my characters still talk like me, but at least I talk less... uh..

...

At least I don't talk like I'm fifteen anymore, I guess.

I really enjoy writing, and I have for a long time. This is probably pretty obvious to you if you read this, because since May 2004 I've probably not gone more than a week or so without updating, excluding a couple vacations.

The common things said today were along the lines of, more moments of this, explain the interviewer more, etc.

I had a handy excuse for all of those though, and it was: Hyuuuk, not enough space.

The man whose story I had to review a few entries back-- We started class by asking, okay, who wants to go first? And immediately his hand went up. "I mean I want to talk about Morgan's". Okay.

The first thing he said was about how much he loved it, and how it was the most interesting short story he'd ever read. I was deeply shamed, as my review for his started with "I cannot review this, it's not a story." It was a little embarrassing, but I tried to be nice. I know it was supposed to just be a first chapter (His story), but it still could have used more punch. First chapters are hard though, I get that. I just don't think this was the time to write a chapter instead of a full story.

Also, of note, I've begun talking to a lady in the transfer office at UNCW. Hopefully the conversation will head in a good direction. An eastern one.
